Yesterday we conducted camp at Sithalapakkam organised by District Blindness Control Society, Kancheepuram. Our team screened around 100 patients in this camp. They underwent detailed eye examinations including IOP Testing, refraction & BP testing. 10 patients were selected for free Cataract surgery.
Under Leadership of MJF. LN. Dr. J.LAKSHMANAN, Dr.V.Murugesan OPHTHALMOLOGIST, and Sr. Optomerist J.Alamelu screened 75 out patient in the camp. Older age, Heavy alcohol use, Smoking, Obesity, High Blood Pressure, Previous eye injuries, A Family history of cataracts, Too much sun exposure, Diabetes, Exposure to radiation from X-rays and cancer treatment.
